The Army of the Men of the Naqshbandi Order (JRTN) is a militant Sufi Muslim organization in Iraq that was founded on 30 December 2006. The JRTN was founded after the United States invasion with the goal of restoring the old Iraqi government under the Ba'athist ideology, and the JRTN also opposed radical Islamist groups (such as al-Qaeda in Iraq) due to their persecution of Sufis. The JRTN had a mixture of Islamic and Arab nationalistic ideas, and it was led mostly by former Ba'athists such as Izzat Ibrahim al-Douri. The JRTN was allied to the MCIR, SCJL, and Free Iraqi Army, while it was enemies with Iraq, the Popular Mobilization Forces, Iraqi Kurdistan, and the Islamic State. The group had above 5,000 fighters as of 2013.
