The Army of Conquest, known as Jaish al-Fatah in Arabic, is a coalition of Syrian Islamist rebel groups formed on 24 March 2015 during the Syrian Civil War in Idlib Governorate with some factions in Hama Governorate and Latakia Governorate. Jaish al-Fatah consisted of Ahrar ash-Sham, the al-Nusra Front, Jaysh al-Sunna, Ajnad al-Sham, Jund al-Aqsa, and the Sham Legion; the latter two groups later deserted. In Idlib, the group had 10,000+ fighters, being primarily anti-regime and anti-Hezbollah but not anti-Islamic State.
