
Army Group Ostmark was an army group of the German Wehrmacht formed on 2 April 1945 from the remnants of Army Group South in Austria and Czechoslovakia. The army group was commanded by Lothar Rendulic, and it fought against both the Allied Powers and the Red Army during the fighting in Central Europe. On 7 May 1945, Army Group Ostmark surrendered in Saint Martin, Upper Austria a day before the general surrender of Nazi Germany during World War II.
