The Arland D. Williams Jr. Memorial Bridge is a Potomac River bridge in Washington DC, built in 1950. It was renamed in honor of Air Florida Flight 90 passenger Arland D. Williams, who, after the plane's 13 January 1983 crash after takeoff in Washington DC, helped five people escape from the sinking plane before drowning.
