Archibald Atkinson (15 September 1792-7 January 1872) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-VA 1) from 4 March 1843 to 3 March 1849, succeeding Francis Mallory and preceding John Millson. Born in Isle of Wight, he served in the War of 1812 before practicing law in Smithfield and serving in the state house from 1815 to 1817 and from 1828 to 1831, in the state senate from 1839 to 1843, and in Congress.
