Arbin is a town in Rif Dimashq Governorate in southern Syria, located just east of the Jobar neighborhood of Damascus and south of Douma. In 2004, the suburb had a population of 44,934 people, but it would be depopulated as the Syrian Civil War raged on in the 2010s. The 2012 Rif Dimashq offensive by the Syrian Opposition led to the town falling into rebel hands on 7 December 2012, and Arbin was on the front lines of the war between the Syrian opposition and Syrian Arab Army.
