Aqeel el-Shah (1979-2004) was an Iraqi Army private who joined the insurgency against the US occupation of Iraq in 2003 during the Iraq War. In 2004, he and several other former Ba'athist soldiers were killed during an ambush of a US convoy in Sinjar, Iraqi Kurdistan.
