Apulia, known as Puglia in Italian, is a region of southern Italy, with Bari serving as its capital. The region borders Molise to the north, Campania to the west, and Basilicata to the southwest. The region borders the Adriatic Sea, and it is home to major cities of Bari, Lecce, Taranto, Otranto, Brindisi, Lucera, and Foggia. In 2016, Apulia had a population of 4,063,888 people.
