
Appius Calavius Drusus (68 BC-) was a veteran of the Roman Army who trained the army of Octavian during the Roman Civil Wars.
Biography[]
Appius Calavius Drusus was from the present-day region of Calabria, southern Italy, and he was a veteran of several wars under Julius Caesar and the House of Julii. Drusus was hired by Caesar's son Octavian to help train his army, and Drusus merged with Octavian's Legio III Ferrata and accompanied him on his campaigns from Sicily to Spain, North Africa, and his wars against Mark Antony in the eastern Mediterranean Sea region. Drusus gained more experience while accompanying Octavian, and he used his skills to benefit the army that he accompanied.
