Appius Caecius Buteo

Appius Caecius Buteo (died 395 AD) was a Western Roman general who commanded the garrison of Colonia Agrippina (Cologne) during the late 4th century AD. In 395 AD, he and Legio X Gemina commander Stilicho defended the city against Frankish assault, but Buteo was slain along with most of his men.
