
Apama (9 May 342 BC-) was Queen consort of the Seleucid Empire as the wife of Seleucus.
Biography[]
Apama was born on 9 May 342 BC, the daughter of the Sogdian satrap Spitamenes, and, in 324 BC, she was one of 90 Persian noblewomen to marry Alexander the Great's companions at Susa, marrying his general Seleucus. He was one of the few Susa wives to be retained by Alexander's generals after Alexander's death, and she gave birth to his heir, Antiochus I Soter. Three cities were named "Apamea" in her honor.
