Antonio Selvo (1076-) was a Venetian nobleman of the House of Selvo and the first son of Cristiano Selvo.
Biography[]
Antonio Selvo was the first born of Cristiano Selvo and his wife Pencina Selvo, born in Iraklion, Crete, which was a colony of the Republic of Venice. During a crusade he set out for Jerusalem, where he expected to find mercenaries. He did not find any, and he had to encamp in the desert while awaiting reinforcements. When they finally came, he captured Jerusalem for Venice and built the first Large Chapel.
