Antonio Parodi

Antonio Parodi (25 May 1890-12 March 1978) was Chief of the Air Force of Argentina under Agustin P. Justo from 1936 to 1938.

Biography[]

Antonio Parodi was born on 25 May 1890 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and in 1910 he graduated from the Military School of the Mation. In 1917 and 1919 he broke flying records in South America, reaching 6,480 meters into the air as well as travelling 400 miles across water in one day. By 1935 he was a Lieutenant-Colonel in the Argentine Air Force, and he was appointed as Chief of the Air Force in 1936 under Agustin P. Justo. In 1946 he retired, and he died as a Brigadier-General in 1978 at the age of 88.
