Antonio C. "Tony" Garcia (15 October 1924-18 August 2005) was a US Army Technician Fifth Grade who served in Easy Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division during World War II.
Biography[]
Antonio C. Garcia was born in Inez, Texas in 1924, and he was raised in Cheyenne, Wyoming before joining the US Army in 1943. He was assigned to Easy Company as a replacement, and he first saw battle at the Battle of Nuenen during Operation Market Garden. Garcia later fought at the Siege of Bastogne and in the last actions of the war in Germany. After the war, he managed a department store warehouse in Colma, California for three decades. He died in 2005.
