General Anton Vladimirovich Charkov (born 1933) was a Soviet military officer attached to both the KGB and the Soviet Army. He was close friends with Major Dimitri Belikov, having served together in Vietnam as advisors and the Soviet-Afghan War as Mi-24 Hind pilots. Charkov was framed by Belikov as a CIA mole, though was exonerated after Belikov revealed himself to be the true mole in the escape from the Lubyanka with CIA SAD operatives Russell Adler and Bell.
