Biography[]
Antoine Ausemme was born in Lyon, France in 1957, and he worked as a commercial banker for several decades. He became weary of socialist government in the country and, during the 2000s, he devoted himself and his wealth to attacking the Socialist Party of France and the European Union, both of which he saw as agents of globalization. In 2016, he founded the Frexit Party to band together opponents of both the EU and the Socialist Party, and his party won 11.54% of the vote in that year's National Assembly elections, propelling him into parliament as the party's leader. He immediately helped The Republicans with forming a government, defeating the EELV party.
