The Antioch Explorers' Guild was a school of cartographers and those who wanted to traverse the Earth, founded in 1092 by Bartolomeo Selvo, the Doge of Venice, in the city of Antioch, Turkey.
History[]
In 1092 a group of Venetian travelers were commissioned 1,000 ƒ to construct lodgings in the city of Antioch by Doge Bartolomeo Selvo of the Republic of Venice, who had conquered Antioch from the Seljuk Rebels. The guild served as the gathering point for pioneering types to further the pursuits of traversing the earth, and proper cartography. The guild tended to offer its findings to the military, making the troops more graceful travelers.
