Antinea of Atlantis

Antinea of Atlantis was a Queen of Atlantis during the 13th century BC. She survived for hundreds of years due to her utilization of the Stone of Uranus, which she also planned to use to forge an army of blonde superhumans and conquer the world.

Biograph[]

Antinea was born on the island of Atlantis, an island kept in foggy seclusion by the magical powers of Proteus the Monster. She became queen of the island, and she harbored ambitions of conquering the world through harnessing the power of the hidden Stone of Uranus to transform children into either blond-haired supermen or disfiguring the weak children and leaving them to be thrown into a pit. Antinea also planned to sacrifice her daughter Ismene after its was prophesied that Atlantis would fall if any daughter of hers outlived her, but the hero Heracles rescued her from Proteus the Monster after chancing upon the island where she was detained. Heracles returned Ismene to Atlantis, offending the priest of Uranus Zenith, but Antinea feigned remorse for her actions and decided to hold a feast in honor of Heracles' achievements. Meanwhile, she used her magic to wipe the memory of Heracles' friend, King Androcles of Thebes, and she attempted to have Heracles drink a potion that would do the same to him. Heracles pretended to drink it before spitting it out after Antinea and her guards left, and Heracles helped rescue the grown men whom Antinea had imprisoned for failing to become supermen. While these men were killed, Heracles prevented Antinea from sacrificing Androcles, Ismene, and his own son Hylas before smashing a hole into the cave that sheltered the Stone of Uranus, causing a ray of sun to strike the stone and destroy it. As Heracles and his friends escaped Atlantis, the island exploded, killing Antinea and all of her followers.
