Anthony Perryman was born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1980, and he spent his childhood as a military brat moving from base to base. He joined the US Army at the age of 18 and underwent selection for Delta Force at 24, after which he spent three tours with the counter-terrorist Task Force 88 before being recruited into the Group for Specialized Tactics (GST, or Ghosts).

Perryman rose to team leader after his team leader was injured during the Donbas War in 2017, and he oversaw a hostage rescue operation in the Amazon with the help of Coray Ward, Dominic Moretta, and Rubio Delgado before being dispatched to Bolivia with that same team in 2019. In Operation Kingslayer, Perryman led his team on a mission to destroy the Santa Blanca Cartel, doing so with the help of CIA contact Karen Bowman and Kataris 26 revolutionary leader Pac Katari. After the apprehension of the Cartel's leader, Perryman looked to retire, but he was instead promoted to lieutenant-colonel and battled the Russian ultranationalist Raven's Rock group in 2024.
