Anthony Laurence Troutt (1945–2019) was an American politician, congressman, and war hero who planned on running for the presidency in 2024. However, he was assassinated by 47 in Italy before this could happen.
Biography[]
Origin and military career[]
Troutt was born in 1945 and eventually joined the US Navy, serving in the US invasion of Grenada as a Captain. There were rumors that Troutt was involved in a friendly fire incident that was covered up by the US government in the aftermath of the invasion. He was made into a decorated war hero, having earned the Medal of Honor; the only soldier involved in the conflict to have done so.
Congress[]
Afterward, he ran for Congress in his home state as an independent, winning the election in 2010. Troutt served as a center-right conservative and possessed a strong popularity base among the moderate voters. As a result of this, he was a major threat to both sides of the US political spectrum.
Troutt went on a European trip to several prominent businessmen and heads of state to gain illicit funds for his 2024 presidential campaign. He offered several quid pro quos and promises in exchange for money in the hundreds of millions. During this time, both the families of the men that Troutt killed in his friendly fire incident in Grenada and representatives of the Republican and Democratic parties paid the ICA to eliminate Troutt. In response, the ICA sent their top agent, 47, to assassinate the congressman.
Death[]
In 2019, Trout was visiting Silvio Caruso, the renowned Italian bioengineer, when Agent 47 infiltrated Caruso's mansion. 47 disguised himself as a housekeeper and poisoned a glass of wine in the cellar with rat poison.
He then covertly disposed of Troutt's two bodyguards, placing them in crates within the cellar. Upon tasting the wine, Troutt ran to the bathroom, where he was garroted by Agent 47, crushing his windpipe. His body was placed in a crate with one of his bodyguards, 47 vacating the premises. Troutt's death was ruled as a murder, and both the victims' families and the two head political parties of the US could rest easy knowing that Troutt was killed.
The murder itself remained unsolved, his friendly fire incident eventually becoming declassified and revealing his role in the war. His medals were posthumously stripped as a result of the backlash, including his Medal of Honor.
