Anthony Astley Cooper Rogers (14 February 1821-27 July 1899) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-AR 2) from 4 March 1869 to 3 March 1871, succeeding James T. Elliott and preceding Oliver P. Snyder.

Biography[]

Anthony Astley Cooper Rogers was born in Clarksville, Tennessee in 1821, and he engaged in mercantile pursuits before moving to Arkansas in 1854. He opposed secession, and he was imprisoned by the Confederate government during the American Civil War. He briefly engaged in the real estate business in Arkansas before serving in the US House of Representatives from 1869 to 1871, and he served as Postmaster of Pine Bluff from 1881 to 1885. He moved to Los Angeles, California in 1888, and he died in 1899.
