Ansar Bangla-7 is an Islamist outfit in Bangladesh that claimed responsibility for the 27 February 2015 assassination of Bangladeshi-American atheist writer Avjit Roy.

Ansar Bangla-7 was composed of radical Islamists from Bangladesh, a country that executed or sentenced to death several Islamist leaders whom they convicted of helping Pakistan commit war crimes in the Bangladeshi War of Independence in 1971. Ansar Bangla-7's first known action was the 27 February 2015 hacking to death of atheist writer Avjit Roy, who visited Bangladesh from the United States to attend a book fair. Their men killed him with butcher knives, and on Twitter, they revealed that he was a target for more than 3/4 years and that the operation had the same cause and action as the attacks in Paris and Copenhagen in early 2015.
