Biography[]
Anna Sforza was born on 21 July 1476 in Milan, the daughter of Galeazzo Maria Sforza and Bona of Savoy; she was the half-sister of the illegitimate Caterina Sforza and the sister of Gian Galeazzo Sforza and Bianca Maria Sforza. In 1477, she was betrothed to marry Alfonso d'Este, marrying him in 1491. However, the marriage was unhappy, as Anna dressed like a man, refused to consummate the marriage, and spent every night with women and a black slave instead of with her husband.
