Anna Orsoleo (1 January 753-) was the wife of Doge Teodato of Venice.
Biography[]
Anna Orsoleo was born in 753 to a lowborn family of Catholic Italians, and she was elevated to the nobility when she married Doge Teodato of Venice. She was only 17, while Teodato was 55; the marriage was unhappy for her, even though she was the Dogaressa of the Republic of Venice. In August 770 she agreed to take part in the assassination of her husband by the House of Galbaio after a gift of money. After the assassination of her husband, she remarried to Patrician Eriprando of Monferrato, and she took care of Doge Giovanni of Venice's daughter Dora Galbaio.
