
Ann Louise Wagner (born 13 September 1962) was a member of the US House of Representatives from Missouri's 2nd congressional district from 3 January 2013, succeeding Todd Akin; she had previously served as ambassador to Luxembourg. She was the daughter-in-law of pro-life activist Loretto Wagner.
Biography[]
Ann Louise Trousdale was born in St. Louis, Missouri on 13 September 1962, and she graduated from the University of Missouri's business school in 1984. She worked in the management of the Hallmark card company in Kansas City and the Purina pet food company in St. Louis before entering politics as a US Republican Party member in 1990. In 1999, she became the chair of the GOP in Missouri, and she oversaw the GOP's victories in both the state senate and house in 2002 and 2003, respectively. From 2005 to 2009, she served as the United States' ambassador to Luxembourg, and she was elected to the US House of Representatives in 2013.
