Angharad ferch Owain (1065-1162) was the wife of Gruffudd ap Cynan, King of Gwynedd.
Biography[]
Angharad ferch Owain was born in Tegeingl, Flintshire, Wales in 1065, the daughter of Owain ab Edwin. She married Gruffudd ap Cynan, and she reigned as Queen of Gwynedd for forty years. She was sympathetic towards the poor, was kindhearted, and was good-natured, and she died in 1162 at the age of 97.
