Biography[]
Angel Robles Bañuelos was born in Badiraguato, Sinaloa, Mexico in 1951, and he became a school supervisor in 1989 before entering politics with the PRI. In 2011, ahead of the presidential election, the Sinaloa Cartel boss had Robles Bañuelos distribute care packages to the villagers of Surutate (a village in his municipality) and have them chant Enrique Pena Nieto's name when he asked them who was responsible for the aid, and who they would vote for in 2012. After returning to his car, Robles Bañuelos was warned by El Chapo that the results would show whether Robles Bañuelos had helped him or not.
