Androcles of Thebes

Androcles of Thebes was the King of Thebes during the 13th century BC. Heracles was his subject and a friend of his, and Androcles enlisted the (initially involuntary) help of Heracles in helping him investigate atmospheric events that were troubling Ancient Greece. Their ships parted ways during a storm in the Atlantic Ocean, with Androcles being shipwrecked on Atlantis, where Queen Antinea wiped his memory so that, when Heracles caught up to Androcles, the king did not recognize his friend. Antinea later attempted to sacrifice Androcles with her daughter Ismene and Heracles' son Hylas, but Heracles rescued them before exposing the Stone of Uranus to sunlight, causing Atlantis' explosion.
