
Andrew Wylie Jr. (25 February 1814-1 August 1905) was a Republican Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the District of Columbia from 18 March 1863 to 1 May 1885, preceding William Matthews Merrick. Born in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, he practiced law in Pittsburgh and in Alexandria, Virginia before moving to Washington DC amid the American Civil War. He was appointed a DC supreme court justice by President Abraham Lincoln, and, in 1865, he reluctantly signed Frederick Aiken's writ to retry Mary Surratt. He died in 1905.
