Andrew Stewart (11 June 1791-16 July 1872) was a member of the US House of Representatives (DR-PA 13) from 4 March 1821 to 3 March 1823 (succeeding Christian Tarr and preceding John Tod), from PA-14 from 4 March 1823 to 3 March 1829 (succeeding Walter Forward and preceding Thomas Irwin) and from 4 March 1831 to 3 March 1833 (succeeding Irwin and preceding Joseph Henderson), from PA-20 from 4 March 1833 to 3 March 1835 (preceding Andrew Buchanan), and from PA-18 from 4 March 1843 to 3 March 1849 (succeeding James McPherson Russell and preceding Andrew Jackson Ogle). Born in Uniontown, he switched parties several times during his time in office, consistently supporting tariffs. He served as a delegate to the 1860 Republican National Convention, and he died in 1872. His son Andrew Stewart followed him into politics.
