Andrew Sloan (10 June 1845-22 September 1883) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-GA 1) from 24 March 1874 to 3 March 1875, succeeding Morgan Rawls and preceding Julian Hartridge.

Biography[]

Andrew Sloan was born in McDonough, Henry County, Georgia on 10 June 1845, and he became a lawyer in 1866. He served as solicitor of Henry County that same year, and he became deputy collector of customs in Savannah in 1867, as an assistant United States Attorney in 1869, as district attorney from 1869 to 1872, and in the US House of Representatives from 1874 to 1875. He moved to Silver City, New Mexico in 1881, and he died in 1883.
