
Andrew Gregg (10 June 1755 – 20 May 1835) was a member of the US House of Representatives from Pennsylvania's at-large district from 4 March 1793 to 3 March 1795 (succeeding Joseph Hiester and preceding Daniel Montgomery, Jr.) and from 4 March 1795 to 3 March 1803 (preceding John Smilie). He then served as a US Senator from 4 March 1807 to 4 March 1813, succeeding George Logan and preceding Abner Lacock. He was a Democratic-Republican.
Biography[]
Andrew Gregg was born in Carlisle, Pennsylvania in 1755, and he served in the militia during the American Revolutionary War before working as a tutor at the College of Philadelphia from 1779 to 1783. After the war, Gregg served in the US House of Representatives from 1793 to 1803. In 1807, he was elected to succeed George Logan in the US Senate, serving from 1807 to 1813. He died in 1835.
