
Andrew Bridgen (born 28 October 1964) was the Conservative (later Reclaim) MP for North West Leicestershire from 6 May 2010 to 30 May 2024, succeeding David Taylor). Previously a businessman, he was elected to Parliament in 2010, and he was a prominent supporter of Brexit and an enemy of prime ministers David Cameron, Theresa May, Boris Johnson, and Liz Truss. Bridgen had the Tory whip suspended in January 2023 and was expelled in April 2023 after comparing COVID-19 vaccines to the Holocaust. He briefly defected to the Reform Party from May to December 2023 before becoming an independent.
