Andreas Sanchez (1988 - 2013) was an FBI agent from California. In 2013, while working for the Office of Professional Responsibility, he exposed Agent Steve Haines' corruption, only to be killed by Haines during a massive standoff and shootout between the FBI, CIA, and Merryweather mercenaries at the Getty Center in Los Angeles.

Biography[]

Andreas Sanchez was born in Los Angeles, California to a family of Mexican descent, and he joined the FBI to fight against violent crime in his home city. He was assigned to work as Agent Steve Haines' right-hand man during the 2013 FBI-CIA rivalry, which was caused by the government overfunding one agency rather than the other. Sanchez worked in conjunction with Agent Haines, Agent Dave Norton, and the criminals Michael De Santa, Trevor Philips, and Franklin Clinton to complete jobs for the corrupt section of the FBI which Haines headed, but Sanchez secretly began working with the Office of Professional Responsibility and monitored Haines' illegal operations. In 2013, during Haines' meeting with Norton and De Santa at the Getty Center, Haines ordered Sanchez to arrest De Santa and Norton as scapegoats for the team's previous actions. However, Sanchez had secretly alerted another FBI team to arrive at the Getty Center and arrest Haines for his own crimes. Soon, CIA and Merryweather personnel arrived to settle scores iwth the FBI and with De Santa, respectively, and a Mexican standoff began. When an FBI agent shot Haines in the leg for refusing to surrender, Haines shot Sanchez through the head, killing him. In the aftermath of the massive shootout which left several agents from all sides dead, Norton decided to pin most of the blame on Sanchez to cover up his and De Santa's involvement.
