Andras

Andras (died 424 BC) was an Athenian soldier who served as the right-hand man of Commander Rhexenor during the Peloponnesian War. In 424 BC, he was sent to fetch the actor Thespis and get him drunk at the tavern as his comrade Bulis searched Thespis' home for the script to Aristophanes' play The Knights, which was sharply critical of Rhexenor's boss, the populist demagogue Cleon. However, the mercenary Kassandra discovered Rhexenor's plan from Bulis after interrogating him, and she headed over to the tavern and confronted Andras and his comrades. She persuaded Andras to leave after punching him in the face and telling him to return to the goat pens, insinuating that he slept with animals. As Andras turned to leave, Kassandra made a goat noise, taunting Andras into fighting her. She proceeded to slay Andras and his men and carry Thespis back to his home.
