Anatoly Khrulyov

Anatoly Khrulyov (3 June 1955-) was a Lieutenant-General of the Russian Army who commanded the Russian 58th Army during the Russo-Georgian War.

Biography[]

Anatoly Khrulyov was born on 3 June 1955 in Naro-Fominsk, Moscow Oblast, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union. From 2006 to 2010, he served as commander of the Russian 58th Army, and he commanded his Russian Army soldiers in the Battle of Tshkinvali, where he was wounded in a Georgian Special Forces ambush on his convoy. On 18 May 2015, he was made Chief of Staff of the armed forces of Abkhazia.
