
Anastasius Naso Corpulentus (375-442 AD) was a general of the Eastern Roman Empire.
Biography[]
Anastasius Naso was a Christian garrison commander of the Eastern Roman Empire, and in 394 AD he married Ustina Flavius, becoming a full general of the empire. A Nestorian heretic and political animal later in life, he gained the nickname "Corpulentus", meaning "fat". Corpulentus became the Governor of Sidon, a position which he held until his death in 442 AD.
