Biography[]
Amy Callaghan was a cancer survivor whose sickness and treatment by the NHS inspired her to become a staunch defender of universal healthcare. She later became involved in SNP politics, and, on 12 December 2019, she defeated Lib Dem leader Jo Swinson and was elected to Parliament as MP for East Dunbartonshire in a major and shocking loss for the Lib Dems and victory for the SNP.
