Amos Slaymaker (11 March 1755 – 12 June 1837) was a member of the US House of Representatives (F-PA 3) from 1814 to 1815, succeeding James Whitehill and John Gloninger and preceding John Whiteside and James M. Wallace.

Biography[]

Amos Slaymaker was born in London Lands, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania in 1755, and he built and operated a turnpike hotel. He served in the American Revolutionary War and suppressed Tory activities in Lancaster County, and he later served as a justice of the peace of Salisbury Township, county commissioner from 1806 to 1810, as a State Senator from 1810 to 1811, and in the US House of Representatives from 1814 to 1815.
