Amir al-Ahmed was a Houthi militant during the Yemeni Civil War. Born in northern Yemen to a Shi'ite family, he took part in fighting against Saudi Arabia and was filmed reciting the Houthis' motto, "God is great, death to America, death to Israel, curse the Jews, victory to Islam."
