Amina Stevens (1 September 1958-) was a British Conservative politician who served as a member of the Bromland Town Council in Lincolnshire from 7 April 2013.

Biography[]

Amina Stevens was born in Black River, Jamaica on 1 September 1958, and she was raised in Hatfield, South Yorkshire, England, where her father, Roger Stevens, worked as a doctor. Amina Stevens attended the University of York and was admitted to the bar in 1981; while in college, she became an active supporter of Margaret Thatcher's Conservative Party. Stevens opened a law practice in the small manufacturing town of Bromland, a growing town in central Lincolnshire, and she became a member of the board of the Bromland Conservative Association. Stevens eventually rose to being the deputy leader of the local Conservative Party under Arabella Marsh, and, on 7 April 2013, she was one of 11 Conservatvie councillors elected to the 30-seat Bromland Town Council.
