Amilcar Cervántez Gamboa

Amilcar Cervántez Gamboa (died 1984) was a Miami drug dealer during the 1980s. He became a wealthy man from his involvement in the drug trade, buying himself a yacht that was harbored at the airport. In 1984, US Army sergeant Jerry Martinez sent Private Victor Vance to retrieve a package containing marijuana from Cervántez, who took Vance on his yacht. As they sailed away, two speedboats containing rival gangsters pursued them, and they proceeded to shoot the boat until it caught fire. Vance and Cervántez abandoned the ship, but Cervántez was gunned down by the attackers as he attempted to swim to the shore. Vance secured the package and brought it to Martinez, who paid him $50.
