The America Party was an abortive right-wing populist political movement in the United States that was founded by Elon Musk on 5 June 2025 following his break with Donald Trump over his "Big, Beautiful Bill." The movement was conceived by Musk in a tweet, as he polled his 220 million followers about forming a new political party and, of the 5.6 million who voted, 80% agreed. Musk determined tha a new political party was needed in America, and he aimed to dismantle the political establishment and represent "the 80% of Americans in the middle." Basketball commentator Stephen A. Smith expressed sympathy with Musk's movement and indicated his interest in joining the America Party. By August 2025, however, the party was not yet registered, and Musk resumed making multimillion-dollar donations to Republican PACs.
