Amenhotep I (died 1504 BC) was Pharaoh of Egypt from 1526 to 1506 BC, succeeding Ahmose I and preceding Thutmose I.
Biography[]
Amenhotep was the son of Ahmose I and Ahmose-Nefertari, and he inherited the throne after his two older brothers died. During his reign, he maintained Egypt's dominance over Nubia and the Nile Delta, but did not attempt to maintain Egyptian power in the Levant. He was deified on his death in 1504 BC.
