Biography[]
Amat Palacios was born in Mexico, and he served in the Federal Judicial Police during the 1980s. His brother was imprisoned in Fresno for armed robbery, and he was sentenced to 12 years in prison; DEA agent Walt Breslin promised to commute his sentence in exchange for Palacios' participation in his Operation Leyenda task force from 1986. He took part in several covert operations against the Guadalajara Cartel leadership, and he had an extensive knowledge of northern Mexico.
