Amanzio Canyelles (1752-1796) was a Spanish Army soldier who served in the 4th Regiment of Foot, based out of Fort de Chartres in Spanish Louisiana, during the 1790s. In 1796, he and all but 4 of the 125 soldiers serving in Goito Velasquez's expedition from Fort de Chartres were attacked and massacred by the Cherokee Indians at the Battle of Sikeston in present-day Missouri.
