Alyssa Farah

Alyssa Farah (15 June 1989-) was White House Director of Strategic Communications from 7 April 2020 to 4 December 2021, succeeding Mercedes Schlapp.

Biography[]

Alyssa Farah was born in Los Angeles, California in 1989, the daughter of conservative journalist Joseph Farah. She interned for congressman Tom McClintock and for Laura Ingraham before becoming Mark Meadows' (and later the Tea Party Freedom Caucus') Communications Director. During Donald Trump's presidency, she served as Press Secretary to the Vice President from October 2017 to September 2019, Press Secretary of the Department of Defense from September 2019 to April 2020, and White House Director of Strategic Communications from 2020. She resigned in December 2020 with the intent of forming her own consulting firm, and, on 8 January 2021, she blamed Trump for the 2021 United States coup d'etat attempt, accused him of lying about the election results, and said that he should seriously consider resigning.
