Alward Bender (832-) was a 9th-century Anglo-Saxon flyting herald from Colchester, Essex. In 875 AD, he facilitated the flyting competition between Eivor and Lady Ellette of Colchester during the Lammas festival in the city, awarding Eivor the prize money after his victory.
