Biography[]
Alvaro Herrera was born in Cali, Colombia in 1968, the younger brother of Helmer Herrera. The two brothers became involved with the Cali Cartel, a powerful drug-dealing syndicate that had connections across the world. In 1994, he travelled to Ciudad Juarez, Mexico with his brother for a meeting with Amado Carrillo Fuentes, the head of the Juarez Cartel; they both stayed at Carrillo's mansion overlooking the Texas border.
