The Alternative Democratic Pole (PDA) is a social democratic political party in Colombia that was founded in December 2005. The party opposed the neoliberalism, securitization, and paramilitarization of Colombia under Alvaro Uribe, and it became the only party to oppose Jose Manuel Santos' government. Most of its members were former guerrilla fighters who gave up armed struggle during the late 1980s and early 1990s.
